As of the Initial Publication Date, all individual articles within the Collective Work “Summer of Protocols” by the Ethereum Foundation (2023) are licensed by their respective authors under CC BY-NC 4.0.

As of the Change Date, all of the same individual articles within the Collective Work are licensed by their respective authors under CC BY 4.0.

License Terms

The Publisher, as the authorized agent of each respective Licensor who contributed to the Collective Work, hereby irrevocably grants, covenants, and licenses each individual Licensed Work under the First License Type (CC BY-NC 4.0).

Effective on the Change Date, the Publisher, as the authorized agent of each respective Licensor who contributed to the Collective Work, hereby grants, covenants, promises to license each individual Licensed Work under the Second License Type (CC BY 4.0), unless the Publisher does not publicly specify an alternative, effective Second License Type any time before the Change Date.

Under no circumstance will the Publisher or respective Licensors attempt to license any Licensed Works under a license type any more restrictive First License Type (CC BY-NC 4.0), before or after the Change Date.
