Workshops

Back to Program Overview

After an successful trial run with a large insurance company, two members of the SoP program team (Venkatesh and Timber) decided to dedicate additional bandwidth to a limited number of pro bono corporate seminars and workshops this year. To request a seminar, or to begin a conversation about a full workshop, please email research@summerofprotocols.com

Typically, this starts with a 60-90 minute virtual seminar on protocol thinking. We’ll cover basic research, some generally useful concepts, and case studies. A combination of two years of research, plus some light tailoring, and a good discussion with attendees.

If this sparks further interest, then we’re open to supporting a half-day, in-person workshop on site at your organization. This also gives us the opportunity to focus on a narrower area of application or exploration, and potentially bring in past researchers from the program who have relevant expertise.

Seminars and workshops will be run either by Venkatesh Rao or Timber Stinson-Schroff, depending on whose background is a closer contextual match. If you’re in the business of semiconductors, hard tech, engineering, programmable cryptography or anything Silicon Valley-esque, Venkatesh will run your session. Timber has worked in government, natural resources and health & safety.
