Fifty students got into Protocol School 2025. We kept the group small to facilitate a fast-paced pedagogical experience for everyone. The classes, taught by professors from around the world, are now available in a self-serve format.

These 10 miniature courses compose a graduate-level crash course in the study of protocols. Due to the interdisciplinary nature of the set, it poses a challenge to all students. Protocol Art I & II are mandatory for both artists and mathematicians. Political science students have to take Modeling and Verification of Cyber-Physical Systems, which focuses on engineering.

If you’re taking on the challenge of completing the open-access version of Protocol School, we also encourage you to read the Protocol Reader. All participants in the live version of the school had to do that, as well as a project. If you listen to the Kickoff lecture and decide to do the same, you’re welcome to join the Summer of Protocols Discord and share your work.

Teachers and professors: these materials are open-source and available for use in your own courses.
